Flash Vocal — Addition is available on iPhone and iPad
A sum appears, the child says the answer out loud, the app listens and validates, with no connection needed. The first maths app of the Flash Vocal range is on the App Store.

Flash Vocal — Addition is live on the App Store. It is the first maths app of the Flash Vocal range, and it does one thing: it gets children to say their addition tables out loud, until the answer comes without counting.
What the child does
A card appears: "7 + 5 = ?". The child says "twelve". The app listens, validates, and the next card appears. No keyboard, no buttons, no screen to touch during the session.
A child who taps a digit can count on their fingers. A child who answers out loud, at a steady pace, has no time to count: they know. That step, from understanding to reflex, is what the app works on. It only validates an answer that is genuinely spoken, something no multiple-choice exercise can check.
A session lasts one minute. At the end, the child earns one, two or three stars depending on the number of correct sums. Two or three minutes a day are enough: short, frequent repetition is what builds the reflex, not a long Sunday session.
A path of 38 steps
All ten tables, from +1 to +10, are each split in two halves (0 + n to 5 + n, then 6 + n to 10 + n), so the child is never overloaded. Each table has its review, and from the +3 table onwards a cumulative review goes back over everything learned so far: +1 to +3, +1 to +4, and so on up to +1 to +10. The next table unlocks once the previous one is mastered. The child always knows where they stand; so do the parent and the teacher.
Before the very first session, a short guided demo ("2 + 1 = ?") shows how to answer.
What you follow
- The result screen shows how the session went and a pace indicator (animals, bikes or racing cars, the child's choice), then asks the child how they felt about it.
- Statistics break down, table by table and session by session, the reaction time and the pronunciation time of every answer: enough to see what is acquired and what still resists.
- An optional daily reminder only fires on days without a session.
Who it is for
- Age 6: the first tables, building numbers up to 10.
- Ages 7 to 8: every table up to +10, at speed.
- Remediation: filling a missing reflex, whatever the age.
- Teachers: up to 30 pupils tracked separately, with the Education subscription.
No connection, no account
Speech recognition runs entirely on the device. No speech is ever transmitted, no recording is kept. The app works 100% offline, with no ads, no account and no tracking: on the train, in the countryside or in a classroom without Wi-Fi, it works just the same.
It speaks the device's language: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Turkish, Catalan, Ukrainian, Russian, Japanese, Vietnamese and Chinese. French is built in; the other voices download once, then everything works offline.
Free to start
Tables +1, +2, +3 and the first half of +4 are available without a subscription, with no time limit and no cap on sessions, for one profile. The Family (3 profiles) or Education (30 profiles) subscription opens the whole path; it runs for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months and can be cancelled at any time.
