Why out loud?
Saying “seven times eight, fifty-six” out loud builds a deeper automatism than writing the answer. It is the pedagogy of nursery rhymes, extended to every table — including 11 and 12.

42 steps, 11 tables in teaching order: ×2, ×5 and ×10 first, then ×3, ×4, ×6, ×7, ×8, ×9, ×11 and ×12 — each in two parts (0 to 5, then 6 to 10), its review, and cumulative reviews from the third table onwards.
